As a young girl Indu lived in the woods, rejected from the world. Her hair silver like the moon, eyes deep purple, snowy white skin. She wondered the woods making friends with the forest and the creatures. The girl gave herself the name Indu for the meaning of night. She grew faster than the other humans but at the age of 20 she stopped growing. Afterwards she watched the world grow around her changing, growing, and the woods gets smaller. As she watch in the shadows the people grew old and died. She would watch some and learn from them. She mimicked how they walked and talked. She wanted to go into that world and learn more from them but she didn't know if they would accept her now. As afraid as she was to go to that world, the want drove her to walk out of those woods and walk through town after town meeting people but still staying close to home. People would look at her but never approach her. She started hanging in the town next to the woods learning more. People started to smile at her a child said hello to her. An officer decided to stop and speak with her. Officer Tim ask her where she lived and where her family where. The girl stood there quietly the finally spoke “I do not live here in town sir, I live in the woods. As for a family I do not know what you mean.” Tim looked at her, “Do you live with others” She steps away and walks back to the woods, “No sir I do not have a family, my family is the forest and the creatures there.” Indu took off running into the forest disappearing for a few days of hunting. She taught herself to use the vines as rope to make snares. Also she made bow and arrows to shoot bear and other carnivores. She would eat meat raw until she saw how man made fire and keeps a single fire going. She has made it within a cave well hidden from humans. As she arrived to her home she notice that the vines that grew over had been moved over a bit. She went around and grabbed a hidden bow she made. She strung and arrow upon it and slip into the cave to find a young man sleeping next to her fire in her home. She readied the arrow to fly as he stirred she looked at his face and was taken aback. She never had seen someone with skin like hers or hair as black. She decided to wake him instead. As she moved closer he jumped to his feet and she drew the arrow back. “What are you doing in my home sir?” Indu asked loudly. “I'm sorry lady I didn't mean to drop by like this I've been running for awhile now.” the man replied. She steadied herself and asked “What are you running from, may I ask.” He sat by the fire “I am running from people that had chased me with what they call guns.” she sat down and smiled warmly “ I have never had a guest here and do not know people very well. ” he looked down at his feet and spoke softly, “I used to have others with me but over time they have been killed or have taken there own lives, I'm now the only one left in my family.” She stood and moved to the stream in the back of the cave. She kept her food in the stream, grabbing a bit to take back to the fire she ask, “Are you hungry young man I have meat to cook, also what is your name?” The nodded to her "Yes I am hungry. My name is Surya." Indu put the meat over the fire and went back to the stream to wash up. "My name is Indu and I've been here for as long as I could remember." Indu spoke as she washed her hands. He sat quietly watching the fire roast the meat. Indu was weary of the man so she carried her bow with her. She made a bed of grass and vines for Surya on the other side of the fire. "Thank you Indu for all your help I will move on in a few days." Surya exclaimed quickly. Indu smile warmly and replied, "You may stay as long as you wish." Indu stiff and walk to the fire and checks the meat. She sits down turn the meat over and over, when the outside is nice a crispy brown as she hands it to him she smiles. She puts on another piece of meat for herself. They both sat there quietly listening to the night and watching the fire. She started to eat hers and lay down on her grass bed. She threw the bone to the side and spoke softly, "Get some sleep I will show you around tomorrow." She turn over not closing her eyes until he started to snore loudly. Then she drifted slowly into sleep allowing it to take her to the quiet darkness. When she woke from her darkness he was sitting outside. "Good morning Surya did you sleep well?" Indu asked smiling. She walked into the sun and stretched out. Nodding he replied, "Yes I did very much so sleep well thanks to the bed." Indu motioned for Surya to follow her and took him to the edge of town, "I have been studying them for a while now learning there ways." He looked out into the town frowning "They are dangerous and once they see you don't age they'll chase you off or try to kill you." He stepped back into the shadows of the forest, "It just best if we stay in the shadows and do not speak with there kind." She walked back to him, "You speak as if we are like them and that we aren't the same creature" angrily he yells, "We aren't like them we are a whole other creature, we are from a small group of people called the Catigris." Looking confused she started walking towards a small spring in the forest. "I never knew anyone for many decades, I lived here in this forest all alone." Surya frowned "You mean you never had a group with you, you must have been born outside of a clan." She shook her headed, "I've never had anyone else with me. I've always been safely hidden within theses woods. You should stay here with me."
